Busy

How many things can a family squeeze into one holiday weekend?

Well, a lot...swimming indoors, garage sales, the zoo, the zoo train, a movie, Cold Stone, the farmer's market, a shopping trip to get hats, an afternoon at the lake, church, a picnic with friends, a nap, a surprise visit from two uncles, a water park with wave pool, dinner with neighbors, and at least four trips to the grocery store.

Just typing all of that was exhausting, but to my surprise, I really never lost my patience or fell asleep mid-sentence this weekend. I was too busy having fun with my dear family to notice how much around the house wasn't getting done.

I only tortured my kids with the camera at the lake. That's just proof that I'm not a blogging junkie after all.

J picked out his own large men's hat, so most of the day he looked like this. Guess whose ears didn't get burned though.

It took E a while to warm up, but she had no fear once she got going.

Friends sure make life more fun!

Some just can't hang as well as others.

E & E taking a stroll.

J & L, armed with a bow and a dagger, are off to play "Snipers with Unusual Weapons."

Little N showing off her new walking skills.

I haven't been able to get a decent picture of both of my kids looking at the camera...ever. Maybe I'll have better luck the next time we play "The Camera Game."

Thousands of men and women have lost their lives so that we may have the freedom to have busy weekends filled with faith, family, friends, and fun. Thousands more are continuing to protect this freedom. Thanks to all the troops, past and present. I am truly grateful. God bless you all!
