Hallelujah!
He is risen!
I know, I'm a little slow, but these weeks have been flying by and blogging isn't near the top of the priority list right now.
So, without further ado, our Easter fun...
We spent a few (late) nights with family back in our hometown.
Good Friday...
** A visit with Great Grandma
** Grandma B. bravely took four of her grandchildren to the church's living stations (a.k.a. "the Jesus play").
** A glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt in the park. Thanks Aunt J. for the awesome idea!
** Unorganized parents decided to start the Easter egg decorating party somewhere around 10:00 pm. Who needs sleep anyway?
Saturday...
** Cousins reunite again in the morning.
** Uncle S. and Steve put their plan into action.
** The kids are instructed to put on their shoes and coats so we can go see our nephew and niece's Easter gift from us.
** We head out to the garage to find the special treat. Steve wanted to out-do the Easter surprise from last year.
But what could it be?
Nothing says Easter like the Risen King and...
a lamb.
This lil' guy was the center of attention...
E loved him, but cautious J steered clear of this tiny creature.
My niece and nephew (pictured with Uncle S) were thrilled,
their dad, J, (who I never did get a picture of)...not so much.
It didn't take too long for the truth to come out. Unlike the duck and chick from last year, we just borrowed the lamb for a few hours, so no one actually got to keep him.
I think he was sad to hear the news...
I know my nephew was. He wanted Wrigley the lamb to live in his basement.
Following all that excitement, we went on with our day...
** A community Easter egg hunt. Baby S (she's not a baby at all anymore, but that's what we keep calling our youngest cousin) was able to join us.

** A visit to Grandma and Grandpa S's house.
** Steve & I went to a 40th birthday party that night while J and E hung out with Grandma and Grandpa B's. They made resurrection cookies and read the Easter story from the Bible.
Easter...
** Jesus is risen!
** The Easter bunny left some treats. E's favorite was the Easy Mac.
** We read the story from the Bible.
** We get to spend the day celebrating with family at Great Grandma and Grandpa B's house.
** After the long weekend, we finally return home to find that the Easter bunny found our house.
**Exhausted and thankful, we call it a night.
** Happy Easter!

BOth E and J look pretty ticked off in that group pic. It's adorable!!!
I too am/was disappointed that the lamb had to go back to his home and not J & H's house!
Mac got easymac in his basket too. But the chocolate was still the favorite.
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I'm sad I missed out on all the reactions. Especially Jake's! Wrigley would've loved our basement. We have cable down there.
