This verse has been up on our kitchen wall for a little over a week. The kids have been working on memorizing it, and both are doing a great job of it.
As much as this makes me feel like I really suck, this verse also leaves me so thankful for the Holy Spirit because there is no way e.v.e.r that I could live out even one of these characteristics all by myself...e.v.e.r.
So Friday I was driving down the street when I noticed a car in my rear-view mirror weaving in and out of traffic going way too fast. When the driver cut me off and narrowly missed my front bumper, I was more than irritated.
Me: Aargh!!
E: What's wrong, Mommy?
Me: Ugh. People are just so stupid sometimes.
E: Mom, you need to work on your self-control.
Very well then. I do need to work on my self-control. It looks like I not only have the Holy Spirit to help but also an accountability partner.
