Go 'Noles!
My youngest brother has been a Florida State fanatic for years.
He really wanted to make the trip to cheer on his team in the national championship game, but after seriously inquiring, he chose to buy us pizza that night instead.
Our house is pretty much the same as the Rose Bowl though.
Seminole victory!

Boys are Gross
J's bag was packed for his first sleepover at a non-relative's home.
He was beyond excited.
I had a few concerns that needed to be addressed before I sent him on his way.
Since this is how I find the kids' bathroom e.v.e.r.y. single day (This photo doesn't do it justice. It's difficult to capture the full effects of dried spit, fingerprints, and a toothpaste massacre.), we had an extensive review of manners and all things related.
Me: Dude, no one is going to invite you back to their house if you don't clean up your pee dribble and toothpaste blobs.J had a great time, and I heard from the other mom that he was well-mannered also.
Me: So did you have a good time?
J: Yes!
Me: What did you boys do?
J: We played video games, texted, and we burped and farted.

We're Out
If we were to abide by all of the professional recommendations, our children would have nearly exhausted their allotted screen time on the very first day of the year.
Yep, we enjoyed a screen time marathon on January 1st.

One
day in
and we were already out of the running for the
"Parents of the Year" award.

Snow
We received our first playable snow just short of a month ago.
For the record, I am not complaining about this. I don't think I've ever complained about not having snow.
The kids love it though, especially when it's not ridiculously cold out.
J was eager to join in the fun when he returned home after a birthday party.
Cheeseballs!

Happy New Year!
We brought in the new year with a family slumber party in the basement.
We had a nacho bar...
board games,
and a movie.
J told me I had a 0.000000001% chance of staying awake during the movie.
I didn't beat the odds, but I was awake again in time to welcome 2014 with my beautiful family.
So blessed!
