...J skipped school to watch a state champion football game. We're Bobcats at heart.
...Steve and I used some vacation time.
...we had a lunch date, just Steve and me. I've been craving Thai food ever since.
...we pulled a funny joke on my dad.
...we attended a meeting at school. J's adjusting quite well, and his teachers are the best. That's no lie.
...I said a few obscene words due to my computer's performance.
...I photographed a family that is near and dear to us. So blessed by the Q family!
...we spent a few hours catching up with friends. Love the Ws!
...we celebrated a first birthday with one of the most precious little girls in this world. Can't get enought of Baby S and her beautiful, brown eyes.
...we drove to our hometown.
... I said a few more obscene words due to my computer's performance.
... I ran a Thanksgiving Day 5K. Beautiful morning for that.
...we spent the day at my grandpa and grandma's house. I love, love, love Thanksgiving at their house.
...I snuggled a baby. That
never gets old.
...I photographed a very active nine-month-old boy who has been walking for a few weeks already. He's a busy boy! Can you believe that we had an outdoor photoshoot at the end of Novemeber without any winter gear? Fantastic.
...I stayed up all night long Black Friday shopping. Stupid? Absolutely. Worth it? Shopping is done and a night with my cousins, so yes.
...I slept during the entire Husker vs. Iowa game.
...the kids played hard with their cousins and Uncle S all weekend long.
...I Zumba-ed (is that a verb?) for the first time and loved it.
...we had dinner with Steve's parents and his sister's family. It's great to be able to see a lot of family without having to travel much. That's so important to us (as evidenced by all of the family gatherings and celebrations we attend).
...we played Pitch until all hours of the night.
...I didn't get out of bed until 10:00 in the morning on Saturday. That was part of the agreement Steve and I made when he was convincing me to play "just one more game" of Pitch the night before.
...we had a very lazy and extremely wonderful day at my parents' house. After looking at the clock to see it was 3:30 pm, I
may have even said, "You know it's a good day when you've finished a beer before brushing your teeth or putting on a bra." That's very lazy and extremely wonderful.
...I said more obscene words due to my computer's performance.
...Steve headed back home to do visuals at church while the kids and I spent another night away.
...we played lots of board games.
...we traveled with my parents to another Thanksgiving celebration at my grandfather's place.
...Steve joined us later that day.
...we headed back home.
...I have spent hours researching troubleshooting ideas for my computer and saying naughty words. A poor performing computer makes photo editing miserable. Miserable photo editing makes for a very sleep-deprived mommy. A sleep deprived mommy makes for an impatient mommy. Sigh.
...I finally found a little time to blog.
...we did eight loads of laundry in one day. We're just facing the consequences of not being home for so long. Two loads still need to be put away. Sigh.
...Steve clocked a lot of hours in a few days. He's just facing the consequences of a week-long vacation.
...resumed our regular activites: work, daycare, school, piano, gymnastics, dentist appointments, swimming, MOPS, blogging, picture editing, facebooking, etc. It is good to be home.
...I registered for a running event.
...I received some sad emails. Still praying!
...E has asked twenty times to put up the Christmas tree.
...we made an advent paper chain with the J and E.
...we have been reminded of our blessings over and over and over again. Thank you, Dear Lord, for blessing us so abundantly!
